Oh my that's quite a kit you're carrying around! I'm pretty much like the coworker. I only have 3 keys.
The good news is, you could jump on a flight to Europe and you would pretty much be set to travel at any given moment!!
Well, I for one can sympathise. I also carry several "emergency" items in my bag. And yes, I have used them... and sometimes even lent them to others, so I guess that justifies my carrying them. :)
Although I think it'd be refreshing to carry just keys.
I was just about to ask if you were off on vacation. That's a lot of stuff. Today I have my wallet, my house keys, my office keys, sunblock, lipstick, and breathmints.Oh, an a money order for my landlord because I can't find my cheque book.
Lots of stuff to tote around. I learned to travel lightly when I was in the Army...anything that we wanted to take we had to carry and I am lazy by nature, not into carrying lots of stuff!
Wordo - I like the idea of it, but am always overcome by the "what if I need xxx ..." question.
Standing - Good point. Strangely enough, given my packrat tendencies, I do travel pretty light - rarely with anything bigger than a carry-on bag.
Susan - Thank heavens I'm not alone in this. I suspect half the reason everyone else gets away with two (or three) keys and a wallet is BECAUSE people like us are always toting around the other vital necessities of life.
Snooze - I can't even claim it as a vacation spree. That's pretty much everyday Ink. I guess I took that whole Girl Guide motto to heart ... though I was a lousy (and I mean really lousy) guide!
Coffeedog - Your point of view makes a lot of sense. On the other hand, I figure I carry around a lot of stuff because I'm too lazy to decide what I'm actually going to need on any particular day. Lazy bod vs. lazy mind, I suppose .... take your pick!
Holy crap! That's not a purse, that's a suitcase!
St. D - You'd be amazed how much you can fit into a small space if you pack efficiently. (My purse, for the record, is around 8 1/2" high by 11" long by 3" wide)
Ummm, how big is this bag of yours? You sound like RB, who carries his life with him! LOL
Epi - Well, my purse is surprisingly small (about the size of a sheet of paper and around 3" wide) ... but of course, I'm generally also carrying my briefcase and gym bag most of the time, too. :-)
